Aalborg is a city located in Nothern Denmark, in Jutland to be precise. Its the third city in terms of population in Denmark, with 205,809 souls at the beginning of 2014 (the two first cities are Copenhahagen and Aarhus). There are of course an hospital, several universities, an airport, theatres, museums....and every stuff that could be fill the "modern confort catefory. Aalborg's climate is not as cold as I could think : the temperature stays around 0°C during winter, because the city is near the ocean. The great thing is there is snow anyway. It must be really nice to see : we don't use to see that in France, and that's the goal when you travel, right?! From the economic point of view, Aalborg is a pretty powerfull city : there used to be a lot of manufacturies there, but they are now closed. They were gradually replaced by knowlegged-based and green-energy sector (ecology makes really part of Danish culture, if we forget the fact that they don't use atomic energy at all, energy is mostly product by coal plants...), and also by communication and technologies industries. It also is interessting to notice that the port's activity is imprtant in Aalborg because of the Arctic Bussiness : 60% of the product of arctic shipping is treated in Aalborg. Obviously I don't forget classical activities like tourism, but I think you're already aware of that, it would be useless to knock you out with a lot of numbers and graphics! To conclude, I would tell the thing I most like in the city (that could change because I don't know the town yet) is it's motto : "Seize the world". That's very close to my own vision of life!
