How to travel in Aalborg ?

The best ways to travel in Aalborg are tp take a bus or a bike. There are lots of buses in Aalborg and it is easy to cross the entire city by bus. The buses operate between 5:00 am and 12:30 am Sunday to Friday, and 24hrs a day on Saturday.

There are lots of different kinds of season tickets, you can take a card for one year, for 3 months or for one month. We all bought one month travel card, it’s a card where there are your address, your name and a picture about you, and every month you have to go to the bus terminal shop to buy another monthly pass.

Also, lots of people travel by bike because Aalborg is one of the most popular bike cities in Europe. There are bicycle paths everywhere in the city, we can see lots of bike in front of shops, bars and restaurants because it’s the most popular way to travel. From April to November you can borrow a bike from the city, just you have to pay 20 DKR (2.68 Euros) to take the bike and when you return it to the city you get back your money. You can buy one in one of the abundant bike shops in the center or in Facebook on the page “Aalborg market” for a reasonable price, between 100DKR and 700DKR (10 and 100 Euros).

Lots of young people prefer to buy a bike or take the bus because, here, the car cost is very expansive (insurance and petrol). We use the bus to get to the university and we are looking for bikes for getting around the city
